With the HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance qualification, you’ll gain the foundation skills and knowledge to hit the ground running in a rewarding, hands-on career in the health sector. This nationally recognised qualification will set you up to support Allied Health professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, and Physiotherapists, enabling you to work in various areas of Allied Health care.  

This course will give you the knowledge and skills to work as an allied health assistant, supporting people with rehabilitation needs.

This unit (previously known as HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a person (infant, child and adult) who is unresponsive and not breathing until the arrival of medical support and subsequent transfer to hospital.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty including CPR to an ill and/or injured person, to coordinate first aid until the arrival of medical assistance such as an ambulance and effectively communicate and document the incident.

Research shows an over-reliance on the use of medication to address behaviours of concern in people with disability, despite the significant negative impact on health and wellbeing. Collaboration between the prescribing practitioner, behaviour support practitioner and the implementing service provider is crucial to good outcomes and the safe reduction and/or elimination of chemical restraints. This three-part webinar series is suitable for Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, Implementing Providers and Support Coordinators.

On-site manual handling training delivered by qualified Australian Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Practical, evidence-informed training for care staff and workplace teams, focused on safe handling, injury prevention, and confidence in day-to-day practice.
