This training teaches the principles of key word sign and gesture, who it can be used with and how it can be used alongside other ways of communicating. You will understand how key word sign is different to Auslan.
This is an introductory course for Auslan and will provide basic communicative skills to converse with deaf people.
Completion of this qualification will allow you to converse in Auslan in personal and professional settings.
You will gain intermediate to advanced Auslan skills, and continue to explore the linguistic differences between Auslan and English.
Bring your Auslan skills together to help you communicate at an advanced and professional level with Deaf and hard of hearing people.
This training resource covers some COVID-19 basics within an overview of the broader approaches to infection prevention and control in disability. It explores how the NDIS Code of Conduct interacts with safety and choice related to infection prevention strategies in people’s homes and community activities.
