This 30-minute online course is designed for support workers and families to provide an understanding of living with epilepsy and disability.
There are unique challenges and issues that arise when someone has epilepsy and an intellectural disability. The course covers some of the challenges faced, recognising types of seizures and the impact on quality of life. does not cover seizure first aid.
This online course is designed for disability support practitioners and health professionals in disability to develop knowledge about nutrition risks faced by people with disability and when to refer to or seek advice from a dietitian or other professionals.
This course is developed to support Disability Support Practitioners in providing effective oral hygiene for people with disability.
This module introduces Support Workers to the seven ‘rights’ of medication support, includingdocumentation and storage. It also examines some major risks with medication management and how to apply choice and control to medication support.
