This training module teaches you how to use a mobile hoist to safely and comfortably move a client from a bed to a wheelchair, and from a wheelchair to a bed. This module provides comprehensive training to guide you through all the necessary steps to hoist your client safely and correctly. The course will also assess your understanding of the training material once you have completed the video.

This course will teach you how to spot the warning signs and support those near you to find the help they need. It has been informed by those with lived experience of mental health problems and mental health professionals.  

This two (2) day (7.5 hours total) course has been created for all leaders and staff who want to better influence change in those they work with.

The NDIA’s ‘Complex Support Needs Pathway’ can provide a higher level of specialised support for participants who have a diversity of challenges such as mental health issues, incarceration or homelessness. It’s estimated up to 15% of NDIS Participants require complex support. Knowing how to support access to the Complex Support Needs Pathway is essential for Support Coordinators, Service Providers and Team Leaders working with this group.

The positive behaviour support (PBS) learning program is designed to provide DAS staff with a solid understanding of positive behaviour support.
